Discover the rustic beauty of true French soap-making with this authentic Savon de Marseille. Handmade in Marseille by Savonnerie Le Sérail, each 300g cube is crafted using the centuries-old cauldron method, preserving a tradition that has defined Provence for generations.

Far from factory perfection, these soaps proudly bear the marks of their artisanal origins: slightly uneven edges, imperfect stencilling, and natural variations in shape. These “imperfections” are in fact their greatest distinction — proof that each cube is cut and finished by hand, just as Marseille soap has always been made.

Rich in natural vegetable oils, including coconut and sunflower, this fragrance-free, colourant-free, and preservative-free soap is hypoallergenic and deeply gentle, making it a daily staple for dry or sensitive skin. It creates a creamy, soft lather that cleanses without stripping, and its versatility extends beyond body care — it can also be used for handwashing delicate fabrics or simple household cleaning.

With every bar, you hold not just soap, but a living piece of Marseille’s history.

Please note: Due to their traditional handmade nature, these soaps may display slight imperfections or a rough finish—this is a hallmark of their authenticity. Over time, you may also notice a white film forming on the surface, which is simply the natural salt rising as the soap continues to dry and cure. This is a sign of genuine, properly aged Marseille soap. Our range of French soaps are sold unwrapped, allowing you to enjoy their natural beauty and fragrance in an eco-friendly way.

Tip: Help your French soap last longer by storing it on a soap dish or soap lift — good drainage keeps it dry and preserves its natural quality.
